I can't watch street fights any more. I've seen to many people get permanently injured, cut, ganged up on or worse. I try to stay away from street violence these days and focus on training for the ring or cage.

I agree that street fights, while exciting to watch, are way too dangerous and therefore aren't really my kind of entertainment. My only problem with the UFC is that there are a few rules that make the fights unrealistic. Knee strikes should be allowed on the ground. This would give wrestlers a reason to think twice before shooting in on an opponent with a good sprawl. Also the whole cage format is somewhat problematic. I really prefer a ring as was used in Pride. It provides better camera shots and prevents the technique of simply pinning an opponent against the fence for the ground and pound.
